Mainak Chakraborty is the Co-Founder and CEO of GPS Renewables, one of India’s leading biofuels firms. In the field of compressed biogas, GPS has established itself as the leading technology & EPC company being the key partner for developers such as Reliance Bioenergy. It’s project developer arm, ARYA has a 50:50 JV with IOCL for setting up compressed biogas projects across India, and is in the process of setting up similar JVs with other oil marketing companies.

The company is also developing India’s first commercial SAF plant alongwith SAF One. GPS has raised over $125 Million so far from marquee PE funds, banks and NBFCs.

In 2013, MIT had selected Mainak as one of the top innovators under the age of 35. Outside of GPS, Mainak has been an INK Fellow and a Global Shaper, World Economic Forum and currently serves on the Credit Committee of Truss Fund, a US based impact fund. Mainak is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and NIT Calicut.
